Sevengen, a Calibre Group company, has partnered with leading property developer, Frasers Property Australia in the progressive roll out of residential Ground Source Heat Pumps at Fairwater, one of the country’s most environmentally friendly developments. Situated in Blacktown in Sydney’s west, Fairwater is the largest geothermal community in the southern hemisphere with over 14,000 kW of heating and cooling with the technology accessible to every one of the 850 homes on-site.
The project has already distinguished itself, having won the outstanding recognition of a 6 Star Green Star Communities rating from the Green Building Council of Australia – the first in New South Wales.
Sevengen’s geothermal leaders have been involved in this project since its inception in 2014. The project’s expected completion date is 2023.
Frasers Property’s commitment to sustainability and renewable energy continues at its newest development, Ed.Square in western Sydney. Geothermal air conditioning will be installed to all two-, three- and four-bedroom residences at the ‘green development’ in Edmondson Park, representing about 700 homes in total.
